Case Study: Planning & Relocation Services

A recent example of services provided in this area would be a corporate relocation project undertaken by one of our Project Coordinators.  It involved the relocation of over 200 personnel from one business site to another, including associated laboratory equipment and consumables from over 15 laboratories.  Our Project Coordinator was involved from the offset, liaising with all laboratory staff and move representatives and attending all planning meetings.  Their physical presence was felt in all phases of the move process, due to their knowledge in the practical aspects as well as the planning and scheduling processes.  This included continuous communications with in-house instrument support teams for decommissioning arrangements, overseeing decontamination procedures for laboratory areas, regular office and laboratory visits to check and assist move preparations, organising suitable vehicles (including refrigerated transport) and lifting equipment, liaising with all services involved – IT, Telephony etc to make for a smooth move process and organising packaging/crate deliveries in line with the move schedule.
Our Project Coordinator worked alongside existing project teams at the new location and created a Move Programme which was then undertaken by our removal crews.
