Bill's Bio

Professional:
I was one of the original founders of the Company in 1974 and have had the pleasure of working for BHL and watching it grow and diversify into specialist areas within the transport & removal industries. I am now proud to be the Managing Director of a successful and well-regarded Commercial Removal & Storage Company after 50 plus years of service. During that time, I have acquired a wealth of knowledge from our early days of road transport including abnormal loads, and vehicle mounted cranes, export packing, and shipping for the USAF, overseas HHG moves, office & laboratory relocation and move management, and the supply and fitting of office furniture.

Personal:
I have always since childhood had a keen interest in Aviculture that continues today. A fine weather classic car enthusiast. I once owned a MGB Roadster, my pride and joy.

Varied tastes in music from Elvis to Dr. Feelgood, and most in between, and enjoy a pint at the local on occasion.

Nick's Bio

Professional:
With over 22 years of dedicated service at BHL, I have been privileged to witness and help drive the evolution and development of our company. My journey at BHL has allowed me to collaborate closely with a wide spectrum of clients, ranging from global pharmaceutical giants and pioneering small biotech firms to major financial institutions. This breadth of experience has not only sharpened my professional capabilities but also deepened my appreciation for the diverse sectors we support.

I am deeply passionate about travel, which has broadened my perspective and enriched my professional life, enabling me to connect with clients and colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds. One of my greatest sources of pride is the exceptional team we have built at BHL. Their commitment, creativity, and camaraderie continually inspire me and are key to our ongoing success.

I thoroughly enjoy engaging with our diverse range of clients, learning from their unique challenges, and contributing to their growth. The relationships we’ve built are a testament to the collaborative spirit and mutual respect that define our approach at BHL. I look forward to many more years of growth, innovation, and shared achievement alongside my colleagues and clients.

Personal:
Outside of work, I am an avid fan of live sports, particularly football and motor racing. I take great enjoyment in following motorsport events, especially since a couple of our drivers also race stock cars as a hobby. As a family, we wholeheartedly embrace the countryside, finding relaxation and joy in the rural lifestyle and all it has to offer.

Shelley's Bio

Professional:
BHL has been a central part of my life for over 30 years, and I am very proud to have watched the family business grow and evolve during this time. I began my Career at BHL in 2004 where I headed up and expanded our Project Management Provision, developing our Orbital Management System which enabled us to offer complete move services from the ground upwards. I managed Key Accounts and drove New Business Outreach. When my husband joined BHL, we chose balance, and I stepped away from the business to allow positive growth for us both. I went on to work in Sales and Business Development in other industries, evolving and growing my skillset at numerous levels and gaining a versatile, adaptable and effective approach to Sales Management. Returning to BHL this year as Sales Director I am excited to assist in new growth channels and to develop reactive initiatives in line with Industry developments.

Akshay's Bio

Professional:
I’m a Senior Project Manager at BHL Removers, specialising in the delivery of complex relocation and move management projects, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and keeping clients’ operations running smoothly. I genuinely enjoy leading change, solving problems, and making sure every move is delivered seamlessly — from the very first planning meeting right through to final completion.

I’ve worked across a wide range of large-scale workplace relocations and specialist laboratory moves, and I manage every stage of the project lifecycle. That includes everything from early consultations and detailed move planning to logistics coordination, risk management, and on-site delivery. I take a detail-driven approach to creating clear, structured plans that reduce risk, maintain business continuity, and give clients confidence that their move is in safe hands and that nobody has to play ‘guess which box is mine’ on day one.

No two projects are ever the same and being agile and adaptable has become second nature to me. I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy navigating complex requirements, tight timeframes, and changing priorities. I firmly believe that every challenge has a solution — especially when you have good communication, strong teamwork, and a people-first approach that puts clients and end users at the centre of every decision.

Personal:
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on a mountain trail or planning my next one. I love hiking and camping, and I’m known for organising trips down to the smallest detail — from routes and timings to food stops — because I enjoy the planning as much as the journey.

When I’m not outdoors, I like to relax with a good film, play pool with friends, or experiment in the kitchen with new recipes and flavours!
